Nathaniel ( think that was his name ) was the best waiter ever!! He was so friendly from the moment we walked in! Complimented us on our outfits, fave great suggestions for what to order on the menu. He constantly checked up on us if we needed anything and just his overall persona was lovely! He made us laugh and made us feel cared for!
The food was really great no complaints! We sat at the bar & bar staff were lovely and accommodating! Been to Orso a few times and always great! Thanks for a great night 😊
One thing I can promise is your experience here is going to be interesting, in a good term. 🤣🤣
On the food side: We’ve never tried the rare beef tartare, so we were quite amazed by the taste and its texture. Not too light, not too salty, very good 👍. The Macheroni with pork is something brand new to us as well. Love the seasoning and how they didn’t make to the dish very greasy. Portion is perfect. The main is the scotch. It’s a bit salty to our taste, but I think they did that on purpose so you can enjoy your wine with it. Love the well seasoned on the veggies 🥬🥬🥬.
Service: From the first sight to our waitress, I told my friends that “ Be careful, she got a personality 🤣” And she does. I think somewhat she made our dinner more interesting than it would have been. She always checked on us and ask the bartender to make us a mysterious cocktail. 🍸 We were sitting in the Alexandria room, it is more private and quiet comparing to the lobby. A bit not sure about our small table though. Maybe perfect for 2, but certainly looked a bit ridiculously funny for 3.
We enjoyed our Christmas lunch in the upstairs private room. Everything was delicious. They have a great range of wine. We started with the King fish topped with blood orange and basil, it was full of flavour and my favourite appetizer. Burrata with red wine was delicious too. The roasted chicken was exceptionally juicy, the steak was excellent, and the chips were tasty. The tiramisu was light, with just the right amount of sugar. And finished with a latte, no surprise they have nice coffee.
This restaurant was above and beyond. The fine dining experience was like nothing we’ve been to before in Adelaide. Brilliant, friendly service as well!
Very busy place but the food is ok within reasonable price. The staffs are so busy so that we didn’t receive help sometimes. For example we want to upgrade the main dish in the chef menu to the wagyu but they didn’t like how much we need to pay extra for that and it’s not on the menu either. Overall it’s good place to dining
Not a single fault in our dining experience - an absolutely incredible place that deserves every drop of praise it gets
I've been on a bit of a train of exploring restaurants on the outskirts of the city and this place, by far, is the best I've been to. Amazing quality food, great environment and passionate staff
It's hard to say what the highlight of the night was, but if I had to pick one it's be that amazing steak with miso butter - iconic
We had a special night out, but this equally could've just been something casual and it would've been just as good
A must visit
The only reason they missed the mark of a five star review is because someone misinformed me about a pasta dish that they did not have on the menu. We were a group of three and we had a great time, we mainly ordered entrees and drinks. The food was delicious, the service was impeccable, we were greeted with a smile and looked after throughout our meal. Overall, it was a good dining experience.
Absolutely delightful. Excellent service. The potatoes and squid dishes were our favourite. And the steak is absolutely worth the money. Will be back.
